Paul Joseph Kurzinsky, Jr.

Rock Hill, SC - Paul J Kurzinsky, Jr., age 95, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at home.

A memorial service will he held this summer in Canton, Ohio.

Paul was born in Canton, Ohio on October 13, 1926, and was a son of the late Paul and Susan (Fisher) Kurzinsky.  Paul and his wife of 35 years resided in Leeseburg, FL for 25 years and after he retired from The Timken Company if Canton Ohio in 1996.  Paul graduated from McKinley High School in 1944 and after graduation he enlisted in the Navy where he then served in World War II and the Korean War.  He was an actual witness to the atomic bombs that were dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on August 6 and 9, 1945.  After leaving the service, Paul worked at the Post Office for 7 years and later he took a job at The Timken Company in Security.  Paul enjoyed playing softball in Canton for many years.  He loved traveling to many places with his wife, Ruby including going on cruises and many Navy reunions all over America.

Paul is survived by his wife, Ruby Kurzinsky; his daughters, Jodi (Steve) Leach and Angelica Fatheree; two stepsons, Gary Broadwater (Sharon) and Rick Broadwater (Thelma); 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.  Paul was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Susan, Rachel and Etha.
