Paula Marie Kessinger Dusky

Paula Marie Kessinger Dusky, 39, passed away unexpectedly on October 29, 2021, in Rock Hill, SC.

Paula was born in Rochester, NY, on March 10, 1982, to Jimmy and Susan Kessinger. She graduated from Fort Mill High School, Class of 2000, and then completed her Associate's degree in Health and Human Services. She was an advocate with N.A.M.I.

Paula had a contagious smile and an infectious laugh that was unforgettable to everyone who met her. She could light up any room she walked in. Her favorite place to visit was Charleston, SC. She cherished spending time with her children, Marissa and Madden, whom she affectionately referred to as her M&M's. Her favorite activities were shopping, road tripping, visiting the beach, and hanging out with her two dogs, Athena and Bama. Some of her favorite things included dancing, rapping to Tupac and Biggie, cooking, and being around her nieces and nephews. She was a huge Detroit Tigers fan. The term "social butterfly" does not do her justice. She was always the life of the party, and she was never satisfied until everyone was having fun. She thought of her friends as family and always made sure the people she loved knew they were always welcome in her home.

Despite being dealt a difficult path in her life, Paula never allowed her struggles to define who she was.  Paula was a fighter who had a strong desire and empathy to help those suffering the same struggles.  Paula was a one-of-a-kind person, and she will be deeply missed.

Besides her parents, Paula is survived by her children, Marissa Evans (16) and Madden Kessinger (14), whom she spoiled greatly and loved dearly; her siblings Kevin Kessinger, Karen Briggs, Kristi (Chuck) Garland, Kyle Kessinger, her triplet sisters Elizabeth (Bo) Perry and Mary (Joel) Dudley, Michele Puckett, Katherine Kessinger and Stewart Kessinger. Her special friend, Larry Garland. She very much adored 26 nieces and nephews and ten great-nieces and nephews; they brought her so much love and joy.

Visiting hours will be November 4, 2021, 1:30 PM-3:00 PM, with services to follow after at Palmetto Funeral Home 2049 Carolina Place Dr. Fort Mill, SC 29708
