Peggy T (Thompson) Brannon

Rock Hill-- Peggy T. Brannon, 82, of Rock Hill, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016. She (along with her husband) were charter members of Oakdale Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School fro 55 years, was the Baptismal Coordinator, and the longtime WMU Chairperson. Mrs. Brannon retired as a Dental Hygenist working for Dr. Trumbley for many years and served volunteering for the Red Cross and the Catawba Mental Health Center. She is survived by: Her husband of over 60 years: Flemon E. Brannon; 2 children: Connie B. Strickland (Daryl), Dennis E. Brannon, Sr. (Joy); 7 grandchildren: Scott (Paige), Kevin (Jessica), Dennis, Jr. (Jessie), Jackie, Jeannie (Trey), Kim (Travis), Jamie (Bobby); 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren; a sister: Darlene Lesslie, Doreta Comer; a brother: Marvin Thompson. A funeral service will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 at 12:00 noon in the Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Grandview Memorial Gardens at Hollis Lakes. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00pm Thursday evening at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to the Interim Hospice.
