Peter Joseph Fox

Fort Mill - Mr. Peter Joseph Fox, 76, died on Monday, June 10, 2019, at Atrium Health - Pineville.

Mr. Fox was the oldest son of the late Joseph Edmond Fox and Mary Blad Fox. Born in Dayton, Ohio, he was raised in New Providence, NJ and graduated from New Providence High School in 1961. He served his country for 5 years in the US Air Force from 1962 to 1968. After his marriage to Kyung-Ja Hong in 1968, they lived in Sayreville, NJ, where he supported his family as a small business owner, while serving 20 years in the US Navy Reserves, achieving Construction Mechanic Chief E7 rank before his retirement in 1995. Peter and Kyung-Ja moved to South Carolina in 1997, where he enjoyed boating, square dancing with his wife and enjoying retirement. He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed working with and creating stained glass. He was very good at fixing almost anything that was broken.

Surviving are his beloved wife of almost 52 years, Kyung-Ja (Kay) Hong Fox; daughters Anita and Jennifer, son Matthew (Sabina Adhikary), granddaughter Anjali; four brothers, Paul, John, Mike and Larry; and a sister, Evelyn Manziello. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph; and a sister, Mary Lou.

Military honors and burial will be held in New Jersey in late July, 2019.
