Peter David Longfield

Mr. Peter D. Longfield passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home on Tuesday, February 9th, 2016.

Peter was born in Bushey, England, to parents Barbara J. and William D. Longfield.

Peter went to school for chemistry and spent the majority of his forty-year long career in the metal finishing industry as both a chemist and, later, a product manager. He will be remembered for his love of sports (especially cricket), music, making people laugh, and spending time with his family.

Surviving Peter are his family members: wife Susan; sons David, Thomas, Edward, and Robert; daughter-in-law Kerstin; sisters Julia and Jayne; niece Olivia, her partner Richard, and their son; niece Jasmine and her two daughters.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 19th from 11 AM to 1 PM at the Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill.

In lieu of flowers, Peter's family asks that donations be made in his memory to the American Heart Association.
