Phat V Hoang

On October 16, 2020 morning, the Hoang family lost their beloved husband, dad, and grandfather - Phat Hoang. He passed away with his loved ones by his side at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC.

He was born in Vietnam in January 1944, fought for the South Vietnamese army, and came to America in 1982. He built a new life in America with a focus on his family and faith. He was an active member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church and the Vietnamese American community. He enjoyed simple moments in life, such as spending time with his family, reading the news, eating a good steak, and taking morning walks at Manchester Meadows or Topsail Beach.

He is survived by his wife La Tran and his children: Son Hoang and daughter-in-law Mai Nguyen with grandchildren Mylinh, Mytien, Logan, Martin, and Joseph; Phuoc Hoang; June Hoang; My Hanh Hoang; and My Ha Hoang and son-in-law Quy Duong with grandchildren My-La, My-Anh, and Quy Jr.

Visitation will be at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home on October 22, 2020 (Thursday) at 5-7PM ET and on October 23, 2020 (Friday) at 5-7PM ET.

Funeral mass service will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church on October 24, 2020 (Saturday) at 10AM ET with burial to follow.
