Phillip A. Mcsparin

Phillip Arthur McSparin, died suddenly Monday, November 26, 2018 of natural causes, at his home in Rock Hill, SC.

A Memorial Service will be held at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 3:30 pm with a reception to follow.

Phil was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on June 26, 1958. He graduated from Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, in 1976. He received his Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1981 and a Master's in Education in 1990 from Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi. He taught High School English for 15 years in and around Jackson, Mississippi where he impacted the lives of many students through education and travel. Phil went on to earn a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from The University of Mississippi Medical Center in 1998. He was a nurse at Veterans Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi before moving to Rock Hill, SC. He worked at Piedmont Medical Center for the last 2 years where he was a case manager.

Phil is survived by his parents, Robert and Vera McSparin; brothers, Rich and family and Steve and family; sister, Marty and family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
