Phyllis Larue Howell

Phyllis LaRue (Ogden) Howell departed this earth on May 9th, 2014. She is survived by her husband James of Fort Mill, SC. Originally from Clearfield, Pa, they also lived in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and had moved to the Rock Hill, SC area in 1994. She is also survived by her brother, Raymond Ogden of Erie, Pa, her son, Sam Rumfola of Rock Hill, SC, her daughter, Becky (Rumfola) Schwartz, of Hanover, Pa, three granddaughters, Sydney and Summer Rumfola and Alicen Schwartz. She was preceded in death by her father, Rhue Odgen, mother, Kathryn (Morrison) Ogden, and sister, Lois (Odgen) Naddeo, of Clearfield, Pa. She enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, traveling, dancing, gardening, and she was fond of her cats. Visitation will be at the Bass-Cauthen funeral home, 700 Heckle Boulevard, Rock Hill, SC on Monday, May 12th, from 6 PM until 8 PM. A service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, Tuesday, at 2 PM followed by an interment at The Forest Hills Cemetery in Rock Hill. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Hospice and Community Care in Rock Hill, SC (www.hospiceandcommunitycare.org).
