Phyllis Ann Shepherd

Mrs. Phyllis Ann Hughes Shepherd , 65, of 1745 E. Chappell Rd., passes away at home surrounded by her loving family on September 26, 2008. A daughter to the late Samuel and Polly Hughes, Mrs. Shepherd was born in Floyd County Kentucky. Mrs. Shepherd was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Tackett and Dawna Shepherd of McConnells, and son Gordon D. Shepherd of Rock Hill. Also survived by 3 grandchildren , 4 greatgrandchildren and brothers Bill and Chick Hughes of Martin, Kentucky. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon L. Shepherd, parents, sister Thelma Robinson and brother Bud Hughes. A special thank you to the staff of Hospice and Community Care and caregiver Gail Shue. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be Monday 3:00PM in the Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Rick Sturgis, interment private.
