Pollyann Chapman-Quarterman Key

Charlotte - Mrs. Pollyann Chapman-Quarterman Key, 75, departed from this life on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, at Whitesell Funeral Home, 975 Riverview Road, Rock Hill SC 29730. The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral services at the funeral home.

A native of Brooklyn, New York Mrs. Key was a daughter of the late Allen James Quarterman and Rosie Pearl Chapman. While living in New York Mrs. Key worked with dedication at Mount Sinai Hospital as an Emergency CNA. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She later moved to the Norfolk, Virginia area and while living there she converted to Messianic Judaism and enjoyed practicing her faith. She was known by many as a strong, stylish, classy, and a courageous woman which is loved and admired by many. She loved to listen to music. She had the ability to communion with people of all ages and enjoyed keeping up with the changing times.

Surviving are two sons, Willie Frank Key, Jr. and Javaral Howard Anthony Key; four daughters, Sheryl Gray, Vickie Renee Glover, Angila Darnise Key; and Ieasha Key; 18 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Frank Key, Sr. and 2 grandchildren, Emil Daquan Kelly and Nelijah U Precious Queen.
