Rajalakshmi Shanmugam

Rajalakshmi Shanmugam, 64, of Chennai, India passed away to her heavenly home on Friday, June 25 2021 at 2:10 AM surrounded by her beloved family and friends in the hospital. Rajalakshmi fought covid for more than 2 months and passed away due to post covid complications.

Rajalakshmi was born on Feb 19, 1951 and married to Shanmugam for more than 40 years and has 2 daughters Premalatha and Karthika and 3 grandsons - Santhosh, Mahizhan and baby Iniyan. She took wonderful care of her grandsons right from their birth.  She was a lovely wife and mother, homemaker, believed and follower of Hindu religion, great cook, good sense of humor and wonderful human being, helping and caring nature, will always love to have long conversations with everyone. She liked many places in the United States during her visits, the atmosphere and the people here. She loves to do tailoring, gardening and enjoys shopping.

She came to the USA to visit her daughter and grandkids where she was diagnosed with covid pneumonia back in April followed by various other complications and fought hard to come out of her weakness for more than 2 months and eventually decided to be safe in her heavenly home. She will be missed by the whole family and friends. May her soul Rest in Peace

Her last rituals that are to be followed as per Hindu culture and funeral service would be held at Palmetto Funeral Home at 2049 Carolina Pl Dr, Fort Mill, SC 29708 from 12 noon Monday followed by the cremation at the same premises
