Ralph Michael Del Vecchio

Ralph Michael Del Vecchio, 83, passed peacefully in his home on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Ralph grew up in the Bronx, NY with his parents, Joseph and Concetta (Colagiacomo) Del Vecchio. He graduated from Christopher Columbus High School. Ralph joined the Marine Corps Reserve and was proud to have served during the Vietnam War era and the Cuban Missile Crisis. He continued to fulfill his Marine Corps duties until he was honorably discharged in 1968. After a career with the telephone company, he pursued a second career in education and graduated from Pace University at 56 years old. He went on to teach third grade in Mahopac, NY. He retired from teaching and moved to South Carolina with his family.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Joan, son Joseph (Darlene), grandsons, Joseph and Anthony, and the many loving cousins he viewed as siblings.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ralph’s name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America .
