Ramona Rae (Mona) Bukowski

Ramona Rae Bukowski (Mona), age 70, of Rock Hill, SC passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at her home. She was born in Chicago on November 28, 1945, daughter of the late Edward Kaliszewski and Beaulah Erickson. She was raised by her great aunt Mimi in Bradley, IL. She was a long time resident of Momence, IL where she was active in the Women's Club and ran an insurance business with her late husband, Robert Bukowski. She lived in Fort Mill, SC for the last eight years. She is survived by her three daughters, Shelly (David) Sypien of Sandwich, IL, Shannon (Edward) Menard of Kansas City, MO and Rachelle (Sam) Settle of Fort Mill, SC. She has six grandchildren, Alexa and Devyn Menard, Matthew and Nicholas Sypien and Victoria and Macie Settle and three great-grandchildren. Mona was an avid crafter and maintained decades-long hobbies in paper crafts and scrapbooking. She loved birds, flowers, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
A remembrance service will be held for Mrs. Bukowski on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 3:00pm at Palmetto Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00pm before the service.
