Randy Dean Randels

Randy Dean Randels, 61, of 190 Hillcrest Ridge, Motezuma, IA, passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012 in Rock Hill, SC. A native of New Sharon, IA Mr. Randels was born November 12, 1950 son of the late Durward "Dude" and Edith Elizabeth Randels. He was an insurance salesman, was of the Presbyterian Faith and was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran. He graduated from North Mahaska Schoole in 1969, served in the US Air Force and then graduated from N.E. Missouri State University now known as Truman State University in Kirksville, MO in 1978. He was a member of the Elk's Lodge and the V.F.W. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Dale and Robert Randels and a sister JoAnn Rubel. He loved hunting, fishing, dogs and the outdoors. Surviving are his two children Jasen Eugene Randels of Bettendorf, IA and Jessica Elizabeth Carter and her husband Robert J. Carter, III of Ft. Mill; a grandson Ryan Jacob Maas; one brother George Randels and his wife Kathy of Longwood, FL and a sister Phyllis Anderson of Motezuma, IA; a sister-in-law Betty Jean Randels and a brother-in-law Robert Rubel; his two dogs Leila and Lizzie; also numerous nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held in New Sharon, Iowa on May 8, 2012 at 11:00am followed a fellowship luncheon at the local Friends Church.
