Mrs. Rebecca Jennings Bryant, 77, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 5, 2013. The celebration of life service will be at Neely's Creek ARP Church on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at three o'clock in the afternoon. Born on September 24, 1935, she was the second daughter of six to the late Frank William Jennings and Mabel Ayers Jennings. She attended Winthrop Training School and retired from Eastern Airlines after 27 years as an expediter. After retiring, she went back to work as a Kindergarten Assistant with the Rock Hill School District because of her strong love for children. She was an avid gardener, loved to travel and most of all enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and greatgrandchild. Being one of the 6 Jennings girls, she treasured the time spent with her sisters and always looked forward to them being together. Her faith in the Lord was portrayed each day in the way that she lived her life and anyone that came in her home always left with a little bit of her faith and sunshine. A loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Big Becky leaves to cherish her memory her sisters, Joanne J. Miller and Carol J. Taylor both of Rock Hill, Marie J. Davison (Bobby) of Charleston, SC, Alma J. Kiser (Ronnie) of Isle of Palms, SC and Mabel J. Varnadore of Great Falls; and her children, Becky and Mike Faris, Max and Becky Anne Bryant, Joanne B. Massey and David Rockholt all of Rock Hill; seven beloved grandchildren, Becca Bryant of Rock Hill, Rebecca R. Gentry (Mark) of Spartanburg, Gregory Russell, Petal Russell-Richardson both of Rock Hill, Caroline R. Stubbs (Everett) of Richburg, SC, Maxy Bryant and McKinlay Bryant both of Rock Hill; and one great grandchild, Jennings. The family would like to thank Joy, Alicia, Karen, Priscilla and all of the other staff at Hospice and Community Care for their love and compassion shown during this difficult time. Family will receive friends immediately following the celebration of life service in the Family Life Center and at other times at the home of her daughter, 177 Sundance Trail, Rock Hill, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Becky's name to The Village at Neely's Creek ARP Church, 974 Neely's Creek Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730 or Hospice and Community Care, 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
