Regina Barbara Lewandowski Hauf was born in Baltimore, Maryland, on August 26, 1919, and with her family by her side, she passed away of natural causes on January 19, 2016 in Tega Cay, South Carolina.
Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Ann Sokolowski and Stanislav Lewandowski, and seven brothers and sisters: Anthony, Wanda, Frances, John, Ida, Mary, and Cazimer ("Buddy"). She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Chief Master Sergeant (USAF, Ret.) Joseph Hugh Hauf.
Regina and Joe were married in Waco, Texas, on October 8, 1955. In addition to Texas, tours of duty took Regina to Washington D.C.; Denver, Colorado; Incirlik Air Base in Adana, Turkey; Altus, Oklahoma; and Glendale, Arizona. Regina moved after her husband Joe's passing to be with her son Bill and his family, to Essex Junction, Vermont, and then with them to Tega Cay, South Carolina, where she resided for the past eleven years.
Regina is survived by her children, William Joseph Hauf (and spouse Melanie) of Tega Cay, South Carolina; and Mary Anita Hauf Martin (and spouse Jeff) of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren Michael Hauf, Faith Hauf, Alexa Martin and Matthew Martin; and many nieces and nephews in the Baltimore area and Pawley's Island, South Carolina.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, January 23rd, 2016 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Fort Mill, South Carolina with Father John Giuliani, C.O. officiating.
