Richard A "Dick" Buckner

Richard "Dick" Buckner, 75, went home to be with his Lord and Savior with his beloved wife, Peggy Lipe Buckner, by his side on December 29, 2017. Dick was a US Army Veteran and retired from Freightliner Parts Plant in Gastonia, NC. He was also an avid golfer and loved to travel in his RV. He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was the son of Bulah and Nina Buckner of Asheville, NC He is survived by his brother Chester Buckner of Kings Mountain, NC; four children: Bruce Buckner, Elaine Jothen (Roger), Debbie Graf (Dave) all of Rock Hill and Silvia Palacio (Junior) of Virginia; eleven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Visitation for the family and friends will be at the home of his daughter, Elaine Jothen, 300 Breckenridge Place, Rock Hill, SC 29732 on January 2, 2018 from 12-8pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in honor of him to Hospice & Palliative Care Palmetto Region at 1057 Red Ventures Dr. Suite 150, Fort Mill SC 29707.
