Richard Charles Hill, Jr.

Richard Charles Hill, Jr. "Chief", 65, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2015. He was born in Salem, Ohio on March 7, 1950 to Richard and Dorothy Hill. He earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of NC at Charlotte and enjoyed a distinguished career spanning over 40 years in mechanical engineering.

He is survived by the children he had with his wife, Gayle, who preceded him in death: Richard Curtis Hill, Carie Hill McLean, and James Kyle Hill, and their families. Additionally, he is survived by his large loving family in Ohio: his father Richard Charles Hill, Sr., sisters Deborah Drakulich, Dena Hollinger, Gail Ann Hill, Rebecca Lyn Hill, and Bobbie Jo Bridge, brothers Theodore Hill and William Hill, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by a special friend, Kim Harrison Bross, who recently blessed his life with many happy memories.

A celebration of life service followed by a reception will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at Palmetto Funeral Home in Fort Mill, SC. A private family memorial will also be held in Salem, OH at a later date.
