Richard Stewart Touchberry

Richard Stewart Touchberry age 60 exchanged this world for a better place on September 29, 2010.
Mr. Touchberry was born on February 9, 1950 in Charlotte, NC, he graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and received his bachelor degree from Lenoir Rhyne College and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.
He began his real estate career working for his father at Touchberry Realty in Charlotte, NC and would eventually begin Touchberry Development Co in Rock Hill, SC. Mr. Touchberry was also the co-founder of the White Horse Restaurant in Rock Hill, SC and founder of Elis Restaurant in Charlotte, NC.
Mr.Touchberry was a avid scuba diver and spent ten years coaching youth sports for the Tega Cay Sports League. He was a loving husband, father, and son will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his father C.H. Touchberry of Charlotte, NC.
Survivors include his wife Robin Touchberry; two sons Spencer Touchberry and Adam Touchberry; a daughter Laina Touchberry; his mother Eleanore Touchberry of Charlotte; NC; two sister Ann Wulbern of Irmo, SC and Ginny Sloan of Chester, SC; a brother John Touchberry and his wife Donna of Cornelius; NC and 11 nieces and nephews that adored their Uncle Rick.
Service to Celebrate Richards life will be held Saturday October 2, 2010 at 2PM at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel 2049 Carolina Place Dr. Fort Mill. The family will receive friends following the service at Funeral Home. Burial will be private at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, NC.
