Robert Earl Beasley Jr. finished his journey on earth on February 10, 2015, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, SC at the age of 67. He was born in Laurinburg, NC on August 8, 1947 to Robert and Beatrice Beasley. Robert enlisted in the US Army in 1967, and served in Korea during the Vietnam War. After returning home from Korea, Robert was stationed at Fort Bragg in NC where he met his future wife, Edith Swafford Beasley. They were married on April 12, 1970. Robert is survived by his loving wife Edith, of 44 years; son Robert E. Beasley, III and his wife Monique of Rock Hill, SC; daughter Susan and her husband Tom Jara of Lincoln, NE; his grandsons Brandon Doss of Lincoln, NE and Steven and his wife Candace Jara currently based in Germany at US Ramstein Air Base; his sister Brenda Hadfield of Fayetteville, NC and her two children Jeff and Robin. He has been reunited with his daughter, Jennifer Dawn Beasley in Heaven along with his brother Winston Cunningham, and both of his parents. Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed activities including hunting, fishing, and gardening. He spent many years at his second home on Lake Murray sharing his love of the outdoors with friends and family. The celebration of his life will be led by Pastor Lester Parrish. Service will be held at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday February 14, 2015 at 2PM with a visitation at 1 PM.
