Robert Andrew Blake, 81, entered the Church Triumphant on September 15, 2015. He was born and raised in Queens, New York and after graduating from Richmond Hill High School in 1952, he joined the U.S. Navy and served aboard the USS Randolph. In 1956 he became a member of Sheet Metal Workers NY Local 28 and after 33 years, rising to General Foreman, he retired to New Bern, NC and later to Fort Mill, SC.

Bob was a charter member of Crossroad Lutheran Church, he received Lutheran Men in Mission Honorary Life Membership awards in North Carolina and South Carolina; and 2012 Man of the Year for SC Upstate Conference.

Bob is survived by his wife Dorothy Blake, a son Michael Blake his wife Carla of Moseley, VA, daughters Laura Blake of Mineola, NY and Karen Rizzo of Fort Mill, SC, and grandchildren Jan Michael, Jamie, Nikki and Samantha.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on December 19, 2015, 11:00 AM, at Crossroads Lutheran Church, located at 8511 Shelley Mullis Road at the corner of Henry Harris Road. The Reverend Richard Carter will officiate. A reception will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Crossroads Lutheran Church Building Fund in Bob's name.
