Robert Junior Gibson

ROCK HILL- Robert "Big Rob" Junior Gibson, 50, of 543 Flint Street, died Monday at his home.

Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Friday, at Whitesell Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Ayers officiating.

Born in Deluth Florida, he is the son of the late John Phillips and the late Naomi Gibson Morton. Robert was employed with Composite 1 of Rock Hill and was a past employee of H.G.P. Glass. He was a faithful member of Friendship Church of God and a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family and church were very special to him.

He is survived by his wife, Ivy K. Gibson; three daughters, Amanda Gibson, Brandy Gibson, and Kathy Privette; three sons, Wayne Louthian, Donald Morris, and PeeWee Louthian; five brothers, Chuck Morton, James Morton, Aston Morton, Stacy Morton, and Doodle Taylor; two sisters, Patricia Gunter and Donna Eden; 13 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and was preceded in death by his step-father, Charles Morton.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Friday at Whitesell Funeral Home.
