Robert Bryant Hill

February 23, 1969 — November 20, 2016

Charlotte, NC -It is with deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of Robert Bryant Hill, a beloved father, former husband, son, step-son, former son-in-law, former brother-in-law, and good friend to so many. Bryant passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

Bryant, 47, was born on February 23, 1969 in Rock Hill, South Carolina and was the son of Evelyn Bryant Helms and Danny Hill. Bryant will be remembered for the love he had for his two sons and his family. He was an ardent fan of college football, in particular Clemson football. He loved World War II history, all genres of music, was a self-proclaimed audiophile, and a connoisseur of quality guitars. Those who were lucky enough to know Bryant will always remember his quick wit, his jovial personality, and his ability to light up any room he entered.

Bryant spent his entire career working at Muzak in Raleigh, NC and Fort Mill, SC where he adored each and every one of his co-workers. Bryant was a wonderful colleague who earned and kept the respect of each of his co-workers. His dedication to Muzak was unmatched and he spent many early mornings and late nights insuring the job got done. He truly considered Muzak his second family.

Bryant is survived by his two sons, John "Jack" Miles Hill and Lukas "Luke" Bryant Hill; former wife and best friend Lindsey Wallace Hill; father and step-mother, Danny and Sheila Hill; step-father and primary caregiver, Jerry Helms. A daughter, Molly Elizabeth Hill, his mother Evelyn Bryant Helms, and step-sister Kim Mullinax Walker preceded him in death.

The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all of the doctors and nurses who took care of Bryant as he battled this monstrous disease. We would like to thank the staff at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House for their compassionate care over the last few days of Bryant's life. Specifically, we want to send our gratitude to Angela Feaster, Bryant's nurse, who cared for her "friend," his children, and family. The care he was given there allowed him to enjoy time with his family and one last Clemson tailgate with Chess and Buck Wallace. Bryant left this world knowing he was loved, surrounded by those who loved him, and his family is very thankful to have been there with him for this final journey. Rest well friend. You were loved and will not be forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 29 at Grace Lutheran Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Visitation will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Bryant's name to the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House, 2275 India Hook Road, Rock Hill, SC 29732
