Mr. Robert Howard Hord, 66, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 19th. Robert was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania on May 9, 1952.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Howard Eugene Hord. Robert is survived by his mother, Ann Hord; his son, Robert Joshua Hord, his daughter, Emily Parrish and his son-in-law, Trey. He was a beloved grandfather to Jeb William and Mae Katherine.
Additionally, Robert is survived by his siblings: Richard Hord and wife Angie, Barbara Shannon and husband Kevin, Becky Dominguez and husband Ray, and many nieces and nephews.
Robert was an avid traveler, a talented quilter, and an outdoor enthusiast. Robert recently spent time traveling the country, visiting all the National Parks. He also loved the blues.
Robert earned a degree in Forestry from Clemson University and a Master's Degree in Business from Winthrop University. Robert was employed with Koppers Forestry Division in Charleston, SC, Canal Wood Corp in Chester, SC and was the owner of Stat Medical in Charlotte, NC.
The service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Bass Cauthen Funeral Home in Rock Hill.
