Robert Stephen Rayle

Robert Stephen Rayle, 62, of Rock Hill, SC departed this life Wednesday, July 9, 2014 and has joined his sister, Holly Diane and brother, Henry Kelvin. Together they are in the presence of their Lord Jesus Christ. Steve was born on January 21, 1952 in Greensboro, NC, oldest son of William Henry and Estelene Patterson Rayle. He is survived by his parents; two daughters Melissa McKenzie (Thomas), Diane Allen (Jon), their mother Donna; his seven grandchildren, Brennon, Ana, Rebekah, Rachel, Renee, Rose and Roxanne; two sisters Darilyn Knibb (Dennis), Denise Kelly (Ken) and brother Stuart Rayle (Linda). Steve was employed by Etimex USA as a Project Engineer for the past 16 years. His happiest times were in the presence of his family as well as being on the open water. Steve was honorably discharged as a Chief Petty Officer from the US Navy in 1984 after 13 years of service. He loved spending time on Lake Wiley fishing with his family and work buddies as well as sharing his culinary expertise for the day's catch. In honoring Steve's requests, a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 1:00 PM at St John Neumann Catholic Church, 8451 Idlewild Rd, Charlotte, NC 28227. Visitation will follow in the Parish Hall.
