Robert Zane Smith, Jr.

Robert Zane Smith, Jr., 56, of Fort Mill, SC passed away Friday, November 22, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Born in Rock Hill, SC the son of Robert Zane Smith, Sr. and Doris Wheeler Smith, Zane loved the beach, boating and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. His family will receive friends and family Tuesday November 26th 2013 from 3 until 4:30 PM at Palmetto Funeral Home at 2049 Carolina Place Drive in Fort Mill, SC. His funeral will be held at 4:30 PM immediately following visitation.A private burial will be later this week. Mr. Smith is survived by his parents; two daughters, Courtney Jordan Smith and Robie Lynn Grissom; one grandchild, Andrew Scott Blackwood, Jr.; and two sisters Robin S. Marchin and Jan S. Bedenbaugh. He was preceded in death by one sister, Julia Ann Smith Hensley and is also survived by brothers-in-law Kevin J. Marchin and Russell W. Bedenbaugh, three nephews Kyle T. Marchin, Coleman S. Marchin and Chase W. Bedenbaugh; and two nieces Rachel W. Page and Caitlyn M. Bedenbaugh as well as many friends.
