Robert Franklin Stacks, Sr.

Mr. Robert Franklin Stacks Sr., 82, of Perry Dr. passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Piedmont Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, SC on September 20, 1926 to the late Frank and Estelle Sowell Stacks, he was retired from Rock Hill Printing and Finishing after 47 years. Mr. Stacks was a member of First Baptist Church, lifetime member of Masonic Lodge 111 of Rock Hill, and proudly served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Linda Price Stacks of the home, sons Robert (Bobby) F. Stacks Jr., Danny E. Stacks and Joel L. Stacks all of Rock Hill. Daughters Mrs. Mike Cox (Roberta) and Mrs. Jeff Aldridge (Lora) both of Rock Hill. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great grand children, sisters Evelyn Hunter and Sybil Carter of Lancaster, Sharon Guild of Tampa, Fl., brothers Donald and Mickey Stacks of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Keith and Ira Stacks. A Celebration of Life Service will take place Monday, February 16, 2009 at The Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home at 2:00PM. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Grandview Memorial Park, Cherry Rd. The family will be at the home of daughter Mrs. Jeff Aldridge (Lora) 184 Fox Chase Dr. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund 481 Hood Dr. Rock Hill, SC 29730.
