Robert Steinfeld

Robert Steinfeld, 63, of Fort Mill, South Carolina passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 in the comfort of his home after a long battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

Robert was born in Chicago, Illinois and lived there the first 10 years of his life until his family moved to Norway. Robert lived and went to school in Norway until he was a young adult and then moved back to Park Ridge, Illinois. He secured a job with American Airlines (formerly US Airways), where he worked for over 40 years. Throughout the years he worked in many cities and ultimately retired while working in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Rob was a loving husband to Gina (nee Bonini), devoted father of Elizabeth Steinfeld (William Toter) of Vallejo, California and Tara Steinfeld of Austin, Texas. Loving grandfather to Alyssa Toter. Loving brother to Elisabeth Steinfeld (Petter Etholm) of Marblehead, Massachusetts and Michael Steinfeld (Anne-Lene Midseim) of Oslo, Norway. Dear brother in law to Philip Bonini of Hillside and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 2:00 - 5:00 PM at Palmetto Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service immediately following at 5:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Palmetto Region.
