Robert "Bob" Stern

York - Mr. Robert J. Stern, 84, died Wednesday, February 16, 2011, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House of Rock Hill.

Mr. Stern was born March 26, 1926, in Manhattan, NY, to the late Albert and Josephine Stern. Bob was a loving husband, father, and friend. Bob and his wife, Marge, loved living on the lake in Tega Cay, SC, where they entertained friends often. Bob was an avid history buff, loved to golf and always kept friends and family laughing with his entertaining stories.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie K. Stern and is survived by his three children; Michael Stern and his wife, Karen, and Robert Stern and his wife, Helen; a daughter, Colleen Stern; and a granddaughter, Kelly Stern.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011, at St. Phillip Neri Catholic Church in Fort Mill. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to A Place for Hope, PO Box 11232, Rock Hill, SC 29731 or Pilgrim's Inn, PO Box 11328, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
