Robert William Sweatt

Heath Springs-Mr. Robert William Sweatt 62 years old passed away on Thursday May 23,2019 at home surrounded by his loving wife and children. He was born March 6,1957 in Rock Hill. He was the son of the late William Dunlap Sweatt (Buddy) Sweatt and Zola Mae Lambert Sweatt. At the time of his sickness he was employed by CANFOR Trucking (New South) of Camden SC. He was employed with this company for 6 years. Robert was a jack of all trades. He was an iron worker, certified welder, taxidermy. He loved fishing, hunting, yard work. His biggest love of all was driving his eighteen wheeler. He was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Mary Threatt Sweatt of Heath Springs. His children Marie Thompson (Maurice) of Heath Springs. Carla Steele of Kershaw. Danny Steele of Heath Springs.
Three sisters Dianne Herron (late Danny Herron) , Cheryl Rakestraw (Tony), Kathy Ramsey (Terry) all of Rock Hill. Four grandchildren Mariah Jackson of Heath Springs. Kevon Drakeford of Kershaw. Maurion Thompson, Maleigha Thompson both of Heath Springs and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Instead of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Sweatt's honor to Flat Rock Baptist Church 3078 Flat Rock Rd .Kershaw SC 29067. The family would like to give a special thanks to MSA Hospice for all the love, kindness and care he received. He had a very special bond with his nurse Lorene Jeffcoat and his chaplain Hayward Myers Sr. of Kershaw for all of their love, care and compassion during his sickness. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Flat Rock Baptist Church. 3078 Flat Rock Rd., Kershaw, SC 29067 with the Reverend Hayward Myers Sr. officiating. The family will receive family and friends at 5744 Stonesboro Rd. Heath Springs, SC 29058 from 1-6pm on Friday, June 14, 2019.
