Robert Clayton Williams, also known as Bob, passed away on December 8, 2023, at the age of 80 in Rock Hill, South Carolina. He was born on December 10, 1942, in Thomasville, North Carolina to Annie Louise Silvey and Troy Clayton Williams.

Bob is survived by his beloved wife of sixty years, Jane Pollard Williams, his daughter, Mary Lou Williams, his aunt, Maƫe Williams Fox, his brother-in-law, Robert Ray Pollard, his sister-in-law, Jane Stringfellow Pollard, his niece, Erland Pollard, and his nephews, Rob Pollard (Jessica) and Charlie Pollard (Stephanie).

He was preceded in death by his mother, father and his daughter, Kelly Williams.

Bob attended Thomasville High School and later pursued higher education at Guilford College. He retired from Marriott/Sodexo after thirty years of service. Bob was the Food Service Director for The Baptist Hospital in Winston Salem, NC prior to his retirement.

Bob was a respected member of the community and was actively involved in his places of worship. He attended Park Place Baptist Church (Thomasville, NC), Oak Grove Wesleyan Church (Montpelier, VA) and Rawlinson Road Baptist Church (Rock Hill, SC).

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held in Montpelier, Virginia, with details to be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Tunnel to Towers , a charitable organization that supports first responders and military heroes.

Bob will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. May his soul rest in peace.
