Robert Lee Zeigler

September 17, 1935 — September 6, 2024

Robert Lee Zeigler, husband, father, Bob Bob, and Grampy, left this earth and entered his heavenly home on September 6, 2024, in Lancaster, SC. Bob was born in York, PA, on September 17, 1935. He was married to his one love, Cheryl, for 44 years, after he fell in love with her at first sight. Bob was retired from Harley-Davidson, in York, PA, after working in the Traffic department for his entire adult life. He attended the University of Miami where he was a Kappa Sigma brother.

Bob met Cheryl at work and married soon after. He immediately stepped into fatherhood, being a soccer dad, cheer dad, band dad, and anything else that was needed. Apart from being a father, Bob was known for loving the Lord. He was usually involved in several Bible studies at any given time, started a prayer group at Harley-Davidson, and instilled a love of the Lord in his family.

After he retired, he and Cheryl moved to Summerville, SC, where he enjoyed being a part of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Phone Ministry at Riverbluff Church in North Charleston SC. He also became a member of the Gideons International. If you ever met Bob, you have been prayed for. He loved the Lord, and he was not shy about it. He also loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his daughter Shawna Lee Irish and her husband Carl, of Fort Mill, SC, with their children Katie and Topher; son Scott Zeigler and his wife Sabrina, of Royersford, PA, with their children Sydney and Owen; and daughter Emily Zeigler with her children Tyler and Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his mother Vera (Haas) Zeigler, and his father Roy Zeigler.

The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers at Lake Wylie Assisted Living and Memory Care, and Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation Center for the past three years of care and loving, and Agape Hospice for the wonderful end of life care they provided.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
