Ron Walley, age 82, passed away peacefully on October 31st, 2022. He was born January 25th, 1940 in Olyphant PA.
Ron is survived by his sister; Marlene Krasnowski; his daughters; Julie Walley, Renee Walley; his grandchildren Tiffany Radcliff (Micheal), Renee Pruitt (Randy), and Joey Castellanos; his great grandchildren; Lee, Landon, Kahlan, Lily, Jolene; his nieces and nephews; Diane Krasnowski Bursey, Eddie Krasnowski, and Danny Ranucci; many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews
Ron is preceded by his wife Rose Marie Walley; parents John Walley, Julia Sanko Walley; brother-in-law Eddie Krasnowski; Niece Marlene Boobsie Ranucci.
Ron was a lifetime member of The American Legion Post 43 where he served at various times as Commander, 1st Vice and the Honor Guard, also a lifetime member of the VFW. Ron served his country in the Army during the Korean War, his total service being from 1957 until 1960.
Ron was an admirer of western literature and films, his particular favorites being John Wayne and Audie Murphy. Ron loved music and singing, as well as planning and hosting family and friend gatherings. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved planning trips and took as many as he could each year.
Wake will be held at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Carolina Place Drive, Fort Mill SC on Friday, November 4th, from 4pm-7pm.
Final Viewing and service will be held at Palmetto Funeral Home Saturday, November 5th at 10am followed by burial at Grand View Memorial Park 401 Hollis Lakes Rd. Rock Hill, SC.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fort Mill American Legion Post 43 on Banks St., all friends and family are invited from 5pm-until.
