Roy Edward Kraebel

Roy Edward Kraebel, age 82, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away at his home on June 19, 2024, with his wife Lois by his side. Born on August 2, 1941, in Teaneck, New Jersey, Roy’s journey through life was marked by immense humor, a kind heart, and an unwavering love for his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Marion Kraebel. After graduating from Glen Rock High School, he attended the University of Dayton for two years before proudly joining the United States Army. During his three years of service, Roy married Lois, and together they shared nearly 60 wonderful years. They raised four children: Jeff (Robin) of Wyckoff, NJ, Greg (Sally) of Texas, Sandy (Rob) of Fort Mill, SC, and Lauren (John) of Heber City, Utah. Roy took great pride in his role as grandfather to Nick, Robby, Katie, Eddie, Olivia, Jason, Ben, Jonnie, Joey, and Kimmy. Roy was truly one of a kind, known for his infectious sense of humor that always brought a smile to the faces of his friends and loved ones. His wit and warmth will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The family is planning a small gathering at a later date to celebrate Roy’s life. Roy Kraebel’s life was a testament to the power of love, humor, and dedication. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the joy he brought into our lives will remain forever in our hearts.
