Ruth Marie (Phillips) Leduc

Marie Phillips Leduc went to be  with The Lord on August 14, 2020 at the age of 93.

Marie was born in New Bern, NC and moved to Rocky Mount, NC in high school. Through her life she lived in New Brunswick New Jersey, Richmond Virginia, Charlotte North Carolina, and ending up in Tega Cay, South Carolina for the remainder of her life. Marie was a dedicated member of Tega Cay Baptist Church. She participated in Choir, sharing her love for music. Marie also loved work, more than anyone we've ever known, spending 16 years working at Giant Genie as secretary and accountant for the owner. She then retired  and quickly realized retirement was not for her. She then went to work for Carowinds as an auditor for another 25 years; finally retiring at 90 years old.

Marie's hobbies included sewing, reading, bowling, and golfing.

Marie was a dedicated and proud mother, grandma, and Gigi. She was always present and supportive of any and all activities her grandchildren pursued; dance recitals, piano lessons, and many more.  She was always there no matter what.  Marie is preceded in death by her parents Alwyn, Sr and Josephine Virginia Phillips; brother Alwyn, Jr and wife Joyce Phillips; sister Yvonne and husband Joe Edwards; and  brother Gary and wife Ann Phillips.  She is survived by her sister Delia H. Willis, daughter Sonja and husband Bucky Frick; granddaughters Meghan Wilson and husband Thomas, and Sofia Frick; two great-granddaughter Colbie and Abigail Wilson; and a plethora of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.  A Celebration of Life will be held at Tega Cay Baptist Church Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 3:00pm.  The family will receive friends from 2:00pm until service time.
