Ruth (Richards) O'Keene

Ruth (Richards) O'Keene passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 7, 2025 in Charlotte, NC.

As a loving mother, sister and friend, she left her mark of joy and kindness on everyone who came into her life. Ruth will always be remembered for her amazing sense of humor, her infectious laugh, love of the beach and cats. 

The most important things to her was her faith in Jesus Christ and her family. She leaves behind a daughter, Gina Jenkins and husband Ken. Son, Michael O'Keene and his fiancé Virginia Vela. Granddaughter Angela Collins and husband Jacob. Great grandchildren Zane and Zoe Collins. Brother, Rick Richards, sisters and brother-in-law, Sandra and Larry Smith and Marilyn Howard, and nieces and nephews who she adored.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
