Sadie Poole Lail

Mrs. Sadie Poole Lail, 98, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

The family will receive friends 2:00 – 3:30 pm Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.  A funeral service will follow at 3:30 pm.  Burial will be private.  Mask are recommended for the service but not required.

Mrs. Lail was a native of Welcome, NC and she was a daughter of the late Anderson Daniel Poole and Isabelle Hodge Poole.    She enjoyed watching the Braves while drinking her Cheerwine.  She will be remembered as a positive lady who was never negative.  She loved watching the Bachelor and Fox News.  She was married to Roby Edward Lail for 46 years. She was the last of her nine brothers and sisters.

Surviving are her three sons, Mark Lail (Risa), Gary Lail, and Paul Lail; eight grandchildren, Marcel Lail (Paula), Marci Lail, Harley Lail, Deanne Carnes, Steven Carnes (Ashley), Paula Benfield (Bradon), Traci Day (Collie), and Jennifer Lail; 13 great-grandchildren.  In addition to her husband, Roby Edward Lail; she was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Diane Carnes; a grandson, Daniel Lail; and a great-grandson, Sterling Day.
