Sadie Hollifield Weatherford

Mrs. Sadie Hollifield Weatherford, 81, of 699 University Dr. passed away Sunday March 8, 2009 at home. Born in Avondale, NC July 15, 1927 to the late William B. and Jessie Christy Hollifield she was a homemaker and member of Oakdale Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday March 11, 2009 in The Chapel of Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home at 2:00 PM, conducted by the Rev. Jerry Devinney. Interment will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery, visitation will be Tuesday evening 6-8PM at the funeral home or other times at the residence. She is survived by her daughter Tina Weatherford O'Rourke and husband Rob of Forest City, NC, grandchildren Jordan, Hailey and Preston O'Rourke of Forest City. Also survived by loving companion Floyd Channell of Rock Hill, and sisters Naydene Deas and Fredia Poe both of Rock Hill. She was preceded in death by her husband William Weatherford, parents, brother Gene Hollifield and sisters Lois Medlin and Redia Lane.
