Samuel Jacobson

A little more than 4 years after saying good-bye to Carol, his partner in crime and adventure and wife of almost 50 years, Sam Jacobson has gone to reunite with his love and Scottish lass whom he cared for to the very end.

For years, as a Dad, grandpa, friend, midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy, labor arbitrator for the U.S. government, and tennis player with a most wicked lefty slice, Sam had a way of keeping us all feeling loved and laughing through good times and bad.

His generosity, unique way with words, and deep love for a good scotch or bourbon, shooting craps, and eating sweets and anything chocolate were the stuff of legends.

His bright eyes, sweet smile, and laugh could light up a room or situation.

As he reunites with Carol to continue adventures cut short, he leaves behind his children Don, Doug, and Susie, their spouses Jess, Stacy, and Arnie, grandkids Jake, Skye, Graham, Emma, Ben, Ben, and Tallulah, as well as so many dear friends and family here and across the sea. He is predeceased by the love of his life Carol, Sister Sally, Dad Lawrence, and Mom Ruth.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 6, 2016, 12:30pm at the Four Seasons Clubhouse, Fort Mill, SC 29708.
