Sara Ruple Coman (Nee Wood, Nee Ballard was born on January 16, 1922 and left this world on Dec 1, 2010 as result of a massive stroke. She Left this world just as she lived her lifea fighter, strong willed, and determined a vibrant, elegant southern lady whose honesty could astound you as quickly as her charm and zest for life could endear her to you.

Sara was an avid bridge player, and a talented artist. She leaves many memories to be cherished by all. She is survived by her two sons; Don Wood and wife Kathleen of Fort Mill; Troy Ballard and wife Sallie of Hoover, Alabama; her grandchildren Stan Lamb and wife Renee; Cameron and KaCee Wood; great-grandchildren Caroline and Charlotte Lamb; grandchildren Maggie, Hank, Chloe and Luke Ballard, one brother Tom Ruple and wife Shirley and their family Lori, Sara, and husband George, David and wife Amelia Ruple and Susan St. John.

A Celebration of life Service will at 11:00 am December 20th 2010 at Sharon United Methodist Church in Charlotte, NC. The Family will receive friends after service at the Church.
