Sarah Naomi Foster Cruse, “Sadie”, of Rock Hill, SC and formerly of Lake Wylie, SC, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 16 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born August 12, 1932 in Statesville, NC, daughter of the late Isaac and Nancy Foster.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Cruse and son, Bobby Lee Cruse Jr.
Sara never met a stranger. Her door and kitchen were always open. Blessed with a large family, she knew the value of entertaining and providing enough food to go around many times over, which she put to good use for many, many years. She enjoyed yearly beach trips with her family, cooking Sunday lunches for family and friends, and spending time at her home in Lake Wylie with family. She brought love and laughter wherever she went. Thankfully we will have a lifetime of memories to remember her by.
Most important to her was her family and she will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She leaves a lasting legacy to be cherished by her survivors, her sons, Robert Michael Cruse and wife Debbie of Jackson Springs, NC, Mark Floyd Cruse of Rock Hill, SC; daughters Robin Cruse Smith and husband Eddie of Fort Mill, SC, Traci Lynne Chapman and husband Lamar of Huntersville, NC; grandchildren Brandy Wilson and husband Chip of Holly Springs, NC, Amber Martin of Jackson Springs, NC, Colby Harris and husband John Ross of Nashville, TN, Lauren Wilson and husband Oliver of Bookham, England, Tripp Smith of Columbia, SC, Casey Smith and wife Holly of Quantico, VA, Markus Cruse of Rock Hill, SC, Chavis Cruse of Sumter, SC, Kayla Cruse of Fort Mill, SC, David Chapman of Tucson, AZ; great-grandchildren Colin, Connor, Kyleigh, Kaydence, Kestyn, Madison, John Ross Jr., Ayden, Brayden, Levi and Cohen.
