Scotty Alexander Thompson, Sr.

Rock Hill - Mr. Scotty Alexander Thompson, Sr. 54, died Tuesday, January 12, 2016.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Catawba Ward Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Catawba Ward.

A native of Rock Hill, Mr. Thompson was a son of Lois Sanders Thompson and the late Bobby Gene Thompson, Sr. He was a past employee of Asplund Tree Surgeons of Rock Hill. He had also been employed as a surveyor. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He loved to play softball and pitching horseshoes. He also loved fishing, hunting and his native heritage.

Surviving in addition to his mother are a son, Scotty Alexander Thompson; two daughters, LaTasha Ann Thompson and Rose Marie Thompson; a brother, Clyde Samuel Thompson; two sisters, Kathy Canty (Wally) and Patricia Merritt (James); and 3 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Gene Thompson, Jr.
