Silas "Buddy" Sistar, Jr.

Rock Hill, SC- Silas Crawford "Buddy" Sistar, 68, died Friday, April 7, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center.

Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2017 at Harvest Ministries Church, 1211 South Anderson Road, Rock Hill, SC. The family will receive family and friends after the service

A native of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Sistar was a son of the late Silas C. Sistar, Sr. and Ola Alene Starnes Sistar Dill. Mr. Sistar served in the Army from 1969 until 1976 with active duty in Vietnam. He was a retired truck driver and loved traveling across the country. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2889 and a member of American Legion Post 34.

Surviving are his wife, Jay Kay Knight Sistar; two sons, Robert Madison Sistar (Sharon), and Wesley Adam Sistar (Kristi); one sister, Shirley Ann Garrison, and five grandchildren, Rayna, Sabrina, Ryan, Caleb and River. Mr. Sistar was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Sistar Owings and his brother, Jerry Wayne Sistar.
