Silvania Lomba Andrade

Silvania Lomba Andrade, 91, of Rock Hill, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. She was born November 9, 1926 in Matinha, Brava, daughter of the late Joao Pereira and Guilhermina Neves Dalomba. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Theodore A. Duarte; great-grandson, Donald Joshua Hancock; brother, Manuel "Netcha" Dalomba; and sisters, Maria Darocha and Carminda Dalomba. In 1944, Silvania moved from Brava to Massachusetts. She later moved to Rock Hill to be close to her family. She adored making gifts for her precious family that they will forever cherish. Most important to her was her family and she was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Silvania was a parishioner at St. Anne Catholic Church of Rock Hill. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband of 57 years, Sinis "Sonny" Andrade; daughter, Ellie Mobley and husband, Don of Rock Hill; son, Eugene W. Duarte of Rock Hill; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; brother, Pedro Dalomba of RI; and sisters, Silvana Sakurai of MA and Helen Pina of CA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Bass-Cauthen Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 2, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Silvania's memory to: Hospice and Community Care, PO Box 993, Rock Hill, SC 29731.
