Stephen Blair Byars

Rock Hill – Stephen Blair Byars, 36, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 30, 2019, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The family will receive friends 1:30 - 3:00 pm Tuesday, October 8, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Catawba Ward, 1989 Reservation Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm with burial in the church cemetery.

A native of Rock Hill, SC Stephen was the son of Charles “Tony” Byars and Evelyn Butler Byars. He loved his family with all his heart and was a big part of their lives coaching football and softball. Stephen was a great man who loved with his whole heart. He loved ALL kids like they were his own. He was a lifelong Clemson and Washington Redskins Fan, who never missed a game. Stephen never met a stranger.

Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife April, his daughter Kaylee Bryanna and his son Kasen Blair, his brothers Charles Walter “Melissa” and Michael Travis. His grandmothers Blanche Byars and Cynthia Butler. His mother and father in law, Terri and Kenny Caudle; his sister in law Cammie, and his nephew Cabe and his nieces Ally, Cassidy, Tie’rney and Cambree. He is also survived by his aunts, uncles, and cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather’s Walter Byars and Carlton Butler, Sr, his uncle Carlton “Buster” Butler Jr and his cousin Lance Corporal Kenneth James Butler.
