Stephen Chad Hinton

June 17, 1982 — August 4, 2024

Fort Mill

Chad Hinton, 42, of Fort Mill, SC, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2024. Born in Bowling Green, KY, and raised in Rock Hill, SC, Chad was a devoted husband, father, and community member whose life was defined by his love, dedication, and professional success.

Chad was a proud graduate of Northwestern High School in Rock Hill and earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Winthrop University. He enjoyed a distinguished career as an Executive Director of Data Management at Wells Fargo, following a decade of successful leadership with Bank of America. His professional achievements were complemented by his personal passions, including his involvement in the marching band during his youth, his active role as a dedicated verger and vestry member at his church, and his enthusiasm for photography, recently in support of his daughter Reagan’s upcoming marching band competitions where he had just joined the Photography Committee at Catawba Ridge High School.

Chad's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. His wife, Page Hinton, and their 13-year-old daughter, Reagan, were the center of his world. Every decision he made was driven by his deep love and commitment to his family. He was a loyal Tennessee Vols fan, an avid golfer, and found joy in music and photography.

Chad is preceded in death by his grandparents: Ray Hinton of Collinwood, TN; Thelma Jean Staggs of Collinwood, TN; Rex Junior Staggs of Collinwood, TN; and his Uncle Guenn Staggs of Franklin, TN. He is also preceded by his Aunt Rhonda Gambrell of Iron City, TN; Uncle Ken Dove of Dillon, SC, Alan Dove of Huntersville, NC, and Sheree Roebuck of Lynchburg, VA.

He is survived by his wife, Page Hinton, and daughter Reagan Hinton of Fort Mill, SC; his parents Julie and Steve Hinton of Rock Hill, SC; his brother Cory Hinton and sister-in-law Kristin Hinton, and his niece and nephew Reese and Hudson Hinton, all of Rock Hill, SC; his in-laws Eric and Kay Hayes of Hartsville, SC; his grandmother Rachel Stricklin of Collinwood, TN; his Aunt Sallie Overton of Collinwood, TN; his Uncle Randy and Aunt Kathy Hinton, and cousins Chris, Sarah, and Andrew of Reston, VA; his Uncle Keith Hinton of Collinwood, TN; and his Uncle Shannon and Aunt Terrah Hinton, and cousins Carter and Lyv Tyler of Collinwood, TN. Chad was blessed with countless friends whose lives he touched.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Palmetto Funeral Home, 2049 Caroline Place, Fort Mill, SC.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 10, at 1:30 PM at St. Margaret's Episcopal Church, 8515 Rea Road, Waxhaw, NC.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests prayers for Page and Reagan. For those wishing to offer support, a GoFundMe page has been set up to assist them during this difficult time: In Loving Memory of Chad Hinton.

Chad’s memory will live on through the love he shared, the lives he touched, the memories and humor he has left his family and friends, and the enduring legacy of his devotion to his family and community.
