Sully Roscoe Howie, Jr

Sully Roscoe Howie Jr., 92, went to be with his Lord and Savior, at his home on June 28, 2021.

Born in Gaston County, NC on November 17, 1928 to the late Sully Howie and Hattie Heffner Howie.

He was a Sergeant in the Army during the Korean War, a Textile Worker and retired from Lowes Home Improvement. He was a devoted Christian and severed in several Churches, including helping build Ridgeview Baptist Church in Mount Holly, NC. He enjoyed his family, working with his hands and tending to his garden.

He is proceeded in death by his parents. Wife of 70 years Betty Mullis Howie. Brothers Calvin Howie, Robert Howie, George Howie and John Howie. Sisters Mary Howie Bozeman, Frances Howie Ferrell and Martha Howie Jones.

Sully is survived by his sister Sarah Howie Grady of Cleveland, NC. His daughters Melinda Howie Loftin of Anderson, SC and Trudy Howie Hoffman of Rock Hill, SC. Son in law and main caregiver John Eric Hoffman of Rock Hill, SC. Four grandchildren and seven Great Grandchildren.

A memorial services will be held at the Veterans Garden in Glencarin Gardens on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at 5pm.
