Susan Thompson Helms

Rock Hill - Susan Jeanene Thompson Helms, 36, died Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at Piedmont Medical Center.

The family will receive friends 3 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2017, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Rock Hill Ward. Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the church. Burial will be private.

A native of Rock Hill, SC, Susan was the daughter of Ron Thompson and Jeanie Whitesell Thompson. Susan was very talented and creative. She was an accomplished classical violinist and loved animals. Susan also was a creative designer of a variety of textile arts. Above all, Susan loved her family,

Surviving in addition to her parents; are her grandmother, Leaborne Whitesell; two Aunts, Julie Anderson (Scott), and Rachel Gates; five Uncles, Art Whitesell (Diane), Steve Whitesell (Jo), David Whitesell (Stephanie), Patrick McGinnis (Donna), and Ed Thompson; and many, many cousins. She was preceded in death by maternal-grandfather, Arthur Whitesell, Jr.; paternal-grandfather, James E Thompson; and paternal-grandmother, Mary Wynn McSwain.
