Mrs. Susan Sevier Link, 83, of Fort Mill, SC passed away on February 12, 2025 after battling Parkinson’s for many years. 

Susan is survived by her husband, James Malcolm Link of Fort Mill, SC; children, Mac Link (Tracy) of Carrboro, NC and Mary Kathryn Harris (Joe) of Fort Mill, SC; sister, Lesley Ogden Simmons of Bainbridge, GA; and grandchildren, Mallory Link, Katy Link, Jake Harris and Sally Harris. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Love Sevier and Mary Perrier Sevier.

Born on August 25, 1941 in Hendersonville, NC to John and Mary Sevier. She was raised in Bainbridge, GA and graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1959. She attended Agnes Scott College and graduated from the University of Georgia in 1963 with a degree in Mathematics. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and Pi Mu Epsilon, honorary mathematics fraternity. Susan spent a summer in London, England as a Winant volunteer working with children and she continued to support the Winant program for years to come. She married her husband, Jim, in April 1965 after moving to Atlanta,GA. Susan began working for Southern Bell but spent most of her career at Crawford & Company starting out as a computer programmer and retiring as the assistant vice president of System Services in 1998. Susan and Jim left Atlanta in 2022 and moved to Fort Mill to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Susan was an accomplished potter and often made beautiful pottery for friends and family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, niece and nephews. She also enjoyed traveling, was an avid reader, a great cook and could complete almost any crossword puzzle with ease. She was an active and dedicated member of Northside United Methodist Church in Atlanta, GA  and most recently Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Fort Mill, SC.

A service is scheduled for Saturday, March 1st at Philadelphia United Methodist Church in Fort Mill, SC with a visitation for family and friends from 10 to 11 AM followed by a private graveside service in the columbarium. Pastor Larry Dimick will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Susan’s life.
