Susan Antonette Touchton

Susan Antonette “Sue” Blalock Touchton , 76, of Rock Hill, SC and formerly of Quitman, GA, passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 15, 2018. She was born October 6, 1941 in Quitman, GA, daughter of the late Hugh Hardy Blalock, Sr. and Eula Dukes Blalock.
In addition to her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 41 years, Levin I. Touchton, Sr.; brother, Hugh Hardy, Jr.; sister, Faye “Baby Faye” Blalock; and granddaughter, April Arnold.
Sue was a lifetime member of Union Baptist Church in Quitman, GA. An avid reader, she retired from the Brooks County Library after many years of dedicated service. Known for “adopting” anyone and everyone, Sue never turned anyone away and always provided for others. She loved everyone and will be deeply missed by every life she touched.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Suzie Antonette Touchton of Sumter, SC; son, Levin “Lee” I. Touchton, Jr. and wife, Mickey of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Nicole Clayton and husband, Andy, Naomi Conger and husband, Charles, A.J. Touchton and Chris Touchton and wife, Molly; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Jimmy Blalock and wife, Bobbie, Tommy Blalock and wife, Ann and Richard Blalock, all of GA; 1 sister, Myrtle O’Neal of GA; and a multitude of nieces, nephews and adopted children.
A Celebration of Life will held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Union Baptist Church in Quitman, GA.
Per Sue’s request, please do not send flowers and instead make a memorial donation to Union Baptist Church, 1691 Union Church Road, Quitman, GA 31643.
